LDS 4 preview: Wright vs. Bonderman

I'll be out during the day tomorrow, so I've got to do this tonight.

2006 overall: Jaret Wright (age 30), 11-7, 4.49 era, 140.1 ip vs. Jeremy Bonderman (age 23), 14-8, 4.08 era, 214 ip
2006 2nd half: Wright, 6-2, 4.76 era, 68 ip vs. Bonderman, 6-4, 4.87 era, 94.1 ip
2006 Sept.: Wright, 2-0, 2.95 era, 18.1 ip vs. Bonderman, 3-1, 3.90 era, 27.2 ip
Both pitchers have fared worse in the 2nd half, but stepped up in Sept.

Bonderman vs. Yanks (2004-06)
6 starts, 2-4, 5.01 era, 41.1 ip

2006
2 starts (late May and late August), 0-2, 5.68 era, 12.2 ip

Yanks vs. Bonderman (career ops, at-bats)
Damon .967 (25)
Jeter .820 (22)
Abreu 2.067 (5)
Sheffield .343 (17)
Giambi .629 (15)
Arod .984 (22)
Matsui 1.567 (15)
Posada .796 (16)
Cano .615 (13)
Bernie .452 (12)
Melky 1.000 (6)

Perhaps Arod should hit cleanup, with Matsui fifth. And Sheffield may be out of the lineup again.

Wright vs. Detroit (2004-06)
1 start (late August this year), no decision, 6.1 ip, 2 er

Detroit vs. Wright (career ops, at-bats)
Granderson 1.167 (2)
Polanco .833 (6)
Casey 1.084 (11)
Ordonez 1.111 (18)
Guillen 1.750 (4)
Irod .500 (10)
Monroe .000 (3)
Thames ---
Inge .000 (2)
Perez 1.125 (8)

So Wright's got to be careful with Casey and Ordonez, but Guillen has also hit him well, albeit in limited action.
