Against a good team. Solid starting pitching, timely hitting and good D won out today (how sweet was that strikeout-caught stealing?). Abreu's foul-pole HR (at left) could prove to be the turning point of the series. Over the last two days, Yankee pitching has allowed just three runs - thanks to Andy, Roger, Joba, Farnsy (you heard right), 'Caino and Mo.- Down in Scranton, Ian Kennedy pitched another gem: 6 ip, 2 h, 1 er, 0 bb, 6 k. His era on the year is a minscule 1.86 with 87 hits, six HRs, 48 bb, 156 Ks and a .181 batting average against in 140.2 innings (that's a .96 whip!).
