Not sure whether to put this in the new post or on the one it was originally written on but here goes.
I like your projections for most of them, but a couple of things stand out. Posada: .394 OBP, for a catcher Posada is a really good OBP guy buthe has only had 4 years with a OBP above or even equal top that EVER, and one was in the minors. It's a jump from .374 to .394.
29hr? and Abreu 15sb?,Mussina 210ip?,Igawa 30hr and still a low 4 ERA, is that even possible
perhaps not. I was doing this without looking at any of their stats. just on feeling. perhaps posada's obp is too high. perhaps 210 ip for moose is too many. and igawa allowing 30 hr with a low 4 era is a stretch.
now looking at the stats, mussina has gone over 210 innings 7 times (but under 200 the last 3 years). unlikely but not implausible. posada's had 3 years of .400+ obp (as recently as 2004), so .394 aint totally out of the question. igawa allowing 30 hr with a 4.23 era is unlikely, but i believe his control will improve a lot and he'll allow a bunch of solo HRs. In RJ's 05 season, he allowed 32 HR with a 3.79 era.
but, that's why their called projections and not stats.
